Hello all, my name is Deana Cox. I am TTU79's daughter. TTU79 was Dr. Helen Cox retired Associate Executive Dean for the School of Nursing at Texas Tech. Mom passed away yesterday but left instructions to post an announcement here. She wanted to thank you all for all the entertainment and knowledge you have provided over the years, she loved this board. A notice regarding her service will be posted in the Lubbock AJ as well as on my FaceBook page. Again thank you all for the many hours of enjoyment you all provided for my Mother.

Deana, I am sorry for your loss. Thanks so much for posting here. I corresponded with your mom several times. Both her written and monetary contributions were much appreciated. She was very kind and will be missed!

Helen was a passionate women's basketball fan who had a sense of humor, a strong belief in fairness, a level head and a love for the Lady Raiders. I will miss her contributions to our conversations dearly.
My prayers for her family at this difficult time.

Deana, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting your mother in Missoula when Texas Tech trounced my Lady Buffs on their way to the national championship. All these years later, she remembered me here.
We corresponded often through PMs. She had told me of her health issues and how she could no longer attend games and which sites I could watch games for free online since I moved away from Buff country. I still have some PMs in my box from her. I will truly miss her and my thoughts are with you and your family.
Your mother helped set up the women's basketball portion of the Pac 12 forum so that Buff fans would have a new home.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I want to cry.
I've never met your mother but I appreciated all her well thought out, supportive comments regarding TTU and WBB in the Big 12. Her presence here will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

My MIL, a member of your fan group, told me about Helen's death. I am so sorry that she is gone. She was a loveley, welcoming presence when my friend Robin and I came to games at the United Spirit Area. I will miss her.
God bless,

Oh so sorry to hear about Helen. I know her health has been precarious.
A true Lady Raider fan who loved women's basketball and always looked for the positives. She was a kind and lovely member of this community and she will be greatly missed.
Thanks for letting us know...our thoughts are with you.

Very sorry to hear this.
I didn't know her personally, but I enjoyed her input in this forum.
