TCU has led almost the entire game. 11:42 left first half, UConn down by 5 - in spite of homer refs.

TCU is playing brilliantly, passes like nobody's business.

Still, they only lead 24-21.

This is pretty unbelieveable.

TCU has put up a couple of bad shots, UConn has dropped a layup, and TCU still leads by 5 approaching halftime.

The announcers pointed out just before TCU missed an outside jumper that if the shot was made, it would be UConn's largest deficit this season.

I'll be frank about this, TCU looks like the better team tonight.

TCU has the lead at halftime 35-33 in what I would say was probably the most blatantly biased officiating I've ever seen.

I seriously doubt that in the second half every single time TCU takes one step it is a travel, and every time they take 2 seconds, it is a held ball.

UConn is in serious trouble.

What a battle! TCU is being so aggressive and I think UCONN is certainly surprised. Anxious to see how TCU comes out in the second half.

Zo, remember all the discussion about TCU's scheduling suicide?

I think that one has been answered.

Baylor, are you paying attention?

Yeah, hopefully we will play a tougher non conference schedule next season. I think Kim knows what to expect next season out of her young team.

UCONN is beginning to pull away.

I'm going to give up on ever predicting that UConn might lose, because it's like suggesting that IBM isn't the bomb.

Just for once I'd like to see UConn play a tournament game where they weren't automatically assumed to win the game by the refs.

There isn't anything that taints my opinion of the women's game more than bad officiating, and UConn always gets the nod in that area.

Oh, and thanks, Geno, for offering your apology to the journalism intern today, two weeks after your ascerbic reply to an innoccuous question after your loss to Villanova.

I hope you sleep well tonight. After all, you've been called a real class act for actually recognizing that you are a prick and apologizing for it.

Are you saying they are getting "Jordan Rules"? Show me some examples of this.

YCN, are you are Cyclone, now? I'm just asking.

Give UConn credit for coming out in the second half and handling their business. Diana Taurasi goes out and do what she always does, makes the plays when you need them.

TCU gave the game everything they had for both halves. The refs didn't beat them, the Horned Frogs couldn't get the good looks they got in the first half. UConn ratcheted up the defensive pressure. Sendora Irvin played her guts out, but the outside game that they had working, wasn't working in the last 20 minutes.

Regardless, a very encouraging performance by TCU, going into that environment 2,000 miles from home. They refused to be intimidated by Geno, the crowd, the press, etc. They forced UConn to adjust to them and the Huskies had to bust their tails to come out with a win; they had to earn every bucket. Way to represent the Lone Star State, Froggies.

NOW... if I'm Bill Byrne, i'm thinking tonight's games make Mittie look like a better candidate than Gary Blair. Working with arguably less talent, in an extremely hostile and packed arena vs. The Best Team In The Nation, and had his team prepared and even put them in a position to win for most of the game. TCU never lost their composure even when things went south in the 2nd. That's a damn good coach, imho.
