Baylor says "move over sisters," make room for us in the Top 25, too. BU breaks in at 22 in one of the polls.

(I'm still trying to learn my way around the softball sites and ranking services, but I know enough to know it's going to be a heck of an exciting year in the Big 12!)

Don't be fooled by it. Coach Revell will find a way to almost win.

The Big 12 does have 8 teams from 9-24. But I would hate to be in the SEC. They have the 3 top teams according to ESPN, but only 6 (if I counted correctly)in the Top 25. Pretty top heavy conference. Also, the Pac-10 has 6 in the Top 25, including 4 in the Top 10. That is 3 conferences making up 80% of the rankings.

Congrats NU on the big win. OSU is hosting the Mizuno Classic this week & is 4-0 so far including 2 run rules. They play Minnesota for the championship tomorrow morning. OSU run ruled Minnesota 9-0 in the opening game.

Lady Bears made some noise on the West Coast and in Arizona. From BU athletic site:

"The Lady Bears wrapped up their 10-day, eight-game road trip with a 6-2 mark, including a 4-1 record against ranked teams."

If Canion stays healthy and Repka or Paul can continue to develop into a solid, consistent 2 pitcher, this team could really make some noise!

Proud of the women!

I watched the Oklahoma-Missouri softball games this past weekend and can certainly see why both of them are ranked. They were great games--1 went 9 innings and 1 went 11 innings. Both teams had absolutely stellar pitchers. I thoroughly enjoyed those games and wish the best of luck to both teams.
