View Full Version : BU vs OU
SWOK34, hope you make the game on Sat. Look for me in Sec. 103, row 11, seat 1. I would like to say hello.
It ought to be a barn burner, especially since it is in Waco. Having the home court advantage will certainly help the Lady Bears. The inside game of Baylor will tell the real tale. I certainly hope Danielle will be at the top of her game. The post play of Steffanie Blackmon will also be a factor. Foul trouble has plagued them both. You know the kind...the X-Ray vision calls. I don't have any sympathy for the refs.
I have to pick my Lady Bears to win, however it will be a battle. The guard play will also be a huge factor. Shelia Lambert can be so dangerous at any given time and her leadership is key to their success. Defensively, Baylor has improved greatly and that is why I'm really giving the edge to them (along with home court).

I had thought I would be able to make this game, but it doesn't look like that will happen. I should get to watch it on TV anyway, or at least I can tape it.
Hopefully Caton will stay out of foul trouble. I think OU will get the win regardless. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Hey, Zo, what ya smoking? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/cool.gif
Seriously, lets first pull the Bears through tonight against KU.
I'll be courtside Saturday loudly supporting KMR's battlers, but I wouldn't bet the rent on a win. It can happen and I fervently hope it does, but to predict it????

Zo, I am still hoping to be there.....will find out at the game tonite if the bus filled up for the trip. Will give you an update tomorrow. I absolutely love the atmosphere at the Ferrell Center and fell in love with their arena last year.....
were you at last year's game?....it was a great game and I expect the same for Saturday's game.
wow, only 700 tickets left for this game

Less than 300 tickets left now.
Bearskin, I'm a firm non-smoker.
KU better watch out tonight, Baylor will be fired up for this one after the KSU loss. I look for a good win.
I could not help but pick Baylor over OU. I might as well fold up the tent and go home now if I didn't pick the Lady Bears to win. It can happen!
I was at the game last year and OU won by only 3 points. It could have easily gone the other way. Lambert scored 30 and Crockrom had 28 points. Great game. I expect another great game.

Zo......I agree, last year's game was close and a fun game to watch......
I'll be there, so I'll look for you. I heard we bought the higher tickets so we could sit behind the bench.

I'm glad the program is at a point where I can gripe and moan about a 20 point win, but if we play as sloppy Saturday as we did tonight, it will be a long afternoon. We will need more
than Danielle and Sheila to show up, and I definitely hope Steffanie's injury doesn't keep her on the bench.
Either way, it should be an awesome atmosphere in the Ferrell Center on Saturday.

I was not happy with the game against Kansas at all. It was really sloppy. Thought I would get a bunch of Hoopla points tonight, hopefully OU's Hill and Caufield did well tonight. You are right Spooky, Baylor will go up in flames if they play like they did tonight. They should have had a 35 point win tonight.

ah, don't feel so bad.......I felt the OU/OSU game was rather lackluster and I think OU had their lowest offensive output of the year. OSU does play pretty good defense.
I've been fighting a bad cold for a week now, so I didn't know if it was me or the game, but a girl at work told me it was a rather "lackluster" game....and they were beating themselves in the 2nd half.....OU plays Baylor, Iowa State and Texas over the next 9 days, so I thought maybe they were "reserving".
I didn't yell at all last night (very atypical).....I'm saving it for Saturday!

actually, OU did play really good defense last night.....
maybe they are taking pointers from Geno.....
"Our best defense was three guys were in one defense and two were in another," UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. "That really screws up the other team's point guard. We were in that defense a lot."
Reserving...that must have been it, they were reserving for Saturdays game. Hope you get to feeling better Swok34. I am not a superstitious person and my prediction ain't gonna ruin it for the Lady Bears and/or Cubbies. The game will be fun. There really could be a strange twist to conference play if last night was any indication. Teams that finish in the middle of the pack might just surprise us. Go http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/bu.gif

The OU game at the terrordome on the brazos is now sold out. I got my tickets just in time this morning!
Both BU-OU games last year came down to the wire, and I'm looking forward to an exciting game in an unparalleled atmosphere tomorrow.
