For someone who grew up in Northern Illinois way back then, this has to be a dream come true. The BEARS and the PACK. Now we were mostly Bear fans, but we were far enough North that there was a smattering of Packer fans and a grudging respect of what they stood for.
I started to reminisce on a few of my own memories, but ran out of time. Here are some word from others.

OK, here are my really short and unfinished thoughts on THE GAME.
As a kid I was a BEAR fan. Of course, early on, it was a radio and newspaper game. Sid Luckman is the first player that I can remember. Coach Halas was our one constant, year after year after year.
But he eventually handed the reins to former Bear Mike Ditka. It wasn't too long before the madness struck. It was 1985, and a bunch of crazies took over the football world, but that's another story I suppose. I would name those guys, but I knew and loved them all, so I'll just name my favorite -- Gary Fencik.
The Packers? Indelible memories of games in the snow. REAL snow, not the fly bys we get here most years. Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Herb Adderley and the rest virtually owned the 60s.
The Bears and Packers have played over 180 games, none more important to their players and fans than the one to be played at Soldier Field tomorrow.
