I never really heard the real reason why Stacy Stephens missed the Penn State game, however I thought I would share a post from hornfans.com about it. I thought this would be a good laugh for everyone!
Here's the deal, based on VERY reliable information I have from a close friend of the family and confirmed by a VERY close friend of hers on another team.
Stacy's parents just built a home in her hometown. Unfortunately, the "damned" thing was built on an old, unmarked Indian burial ground. They moved in this summer, but all fall "freaky" things have been happening. Specifically, her little brother's head spins around all the way, he pukes green bile, and he refers to himself as "Legion" meaning either many demons or the stadium in Birmingham.
So, things kind of came to the proverbial head a couple of weeks ago when Grams disappeared into a parallel universe. This wouldn't be such a big deal, but Grams just happens to be carrying the illegitimate child of Cedric Benson. (I'm telling ya, this is a REALLY messy deal and is causing lots of turmoil in the Stephens' clan.) So this friend tells me Stacy is now considering a transfer to Tech, for which she would have to sit out two years and have one season left as a senior. But after the knock-down, drag-out she had with Harston during practice the Tuesday before she left campus (which was also expedited because of her 3 Fs, 1 C -- in LIS 322T Children's Lit. -- and 1 class to be determined by her final (she needed a 93 on her CH 304K final to make a "D" in the class) Stacy decided it would be best to cut out of town a day early and spend some time making Smores around the aforementioned possessed fireplace. Sigh. This just wouldn't be that big of a deal if her dad weren't indicted by a federal grand jury two weeks ago and is now facing 20 years in federal prison for securities fraud.
I hope that clears it up for ya!
