And we await, with held breath, to find out who, oh who, will be our queen and number one at our little dance. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

I updated my page with all game results (except tomorrow).
http://mred.sytes.net/wbb/wbbbracket.html

Basically, the seeds are all set except 1 and 2. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Will the nets come down in Lubbock?

Will Tech allow that to happen on their own floor by losing two in a row at the USA?

Will KSU say we beat UT and the nets should be ours?

Who wrote this script?

mred, I think it's not figuring the tiebreaker right on:
Kansas, TAMU and Oklahoma State.

I think it's like this:

9) Kansas
10) TAMU
11) OSU

I assume that Texas cut the nets tonight, since they clinched a share of the championship.

Another banner to hang next year.

swok, you are correct. A&M wins the tiebreaker against OSU by beating OU, but Kansas gets the #9 seed by head-to-head results.

yep, we even got to see the net-cutting and hook'em signs here on TV in little Norman.

Not again... :-P I just realized this myself. I'm going to have to figure out what the problem is...

You actually have to go a ways down the tiebreaker list to break the tie between OSU and TAMU.

Yeah. TAM's divisional victory (other than OSU) was OU. OSU's (other than TAM) was BU. OU finished ahead of BU, so TAM wins the tiebreaker. That's like #5 on the tiebreak list. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Here is a section of the Dallas Morning News that focuses on the tourney:

I hope when the TV cameras pan Reunion Arena every seat is full. Fox had the Duke/Georgia Tech semi-final game in the ACC tournament on this afternoon from Greensboro NC and when they showed the fans it looked liked maybe there were only 2500 to 3000 fans in attendance. Hopefully the Dallas-Fort Worth area fans will fill the place for every game.

I hope so, too. Sherri Coale made a comment in her radio show that it will be interesting to see how Reunion sets up...she made comment about "feeling cavernous"....I've never been to Reunion. Sure holds a lot more folks (double) what the Municipal Arena holds.

I do think they have some "day" activities going on to try and get the attendance up during the day games:

And, I think they are running a campaign for HS seniors....

College Night for High School Students: The Big 12 Wants You!
Attention High School Students!
Thinking about attending a Big 12 college? Here's your chance to check it out. Show up Wednesday evening, March 12 for:

Quality face-time with college recruiters
A Big 12 West End Mascot Party
Plenty o' food and beverages
Big 12 Athlete Showcase
Discount tickets to Wednesday night's Women's match-up

Keith wrote a really good article about the change in venue, and how Dallas probably has both better arena's and everything is centrally located downtown with Victory Fest, they are highly promoting their light rail, which I think is a sponsor of the tourney....it is a very good article:

Well, Dallas resident and bball fan who won't make the tourney. To much going on lately...and had a week vacation last month, plus off for 2 ice days. Can't take time off to make a day game.
And I have a date Thursday night http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif, so that's out.
Honestly, I hate going downtown for anything. Traffic and people drive me nuts.
Reunion is OK...just old.

Well, the wife is sick so we won't be making the tournament either. Started to come by myself, but sometimes discretion is the better part of valor!

(Why can't I ever remember that when posting?)

Reunion is OK...just old.

and yet, I think it has 30 or 40 years on the Municipal in Kansas City...now, that's an old arena.

Having had Reunion season tickets to the Mav's in the 80's, the old hey-day-and having been to the American Airlines Center, Reunion, in my opinion, is a better place to watch a bball game, for closeness of all seats, louder, etc. AAC is far more beautiful, inside and out but most seats are farther from the action. Heck, for the first year, most Mav and Star fans complained saying Reunion was louder, closer and their favorite.

It will work out just great for this week.

Oh, and by the way,,,

Row6Seat10, the opinion I got was that it was more like 1500, tops. That big arena looked really empty.

You know the attendance is really bad when only half of the seats, or a little bit more, are filled in the first 5 rows at courtside.
