BTW, we're having tamales for Christmas dinner and we're all currently in shorts & flipflops...:D

(*Disclaimer--Please know this is just a fun little ditty about our decidely non-stereotypical holiday weather down here in Houston and not intended to take lightly any severe weather, or misfortunes cased by such, that any of you may be experiencing.)

Right now it's 75 degrees in Lubbock. Definitely not our usual temperature. Oh my, global warning:eek:. Have a cold front moving in Wed. night so it will change. I'd just as soon it stayed at 75, it only takes me about 5 minutes to be tired of winter. My toes get cold and don't thaw out until April.:)

Hope all the board posters have a great holiday season and the best of years in 2011.

Topped out at 85 degrees today here in DFW. But I didn't let that slow me down, as I sang along with Christmas songs at work.

Did make it hard to go back after lunch, though. Thought it might be a good day to get an early start working on a tan for next year! ;)

Christmas isn't Christmas without snow...and there will be plenty on the ski slopes this weekend. ;)

I agree Chipper. I've always thought that if you don't have snow you shouldn't have xmas, but oh well.

Way up north in the Pacific Northwest, it's gray and rainy much of the time. Temperatures in the 40s. Once in awhile the sun pops out and we all gape in amazement. And people wonder why Seattleites drink so much coffee! ;)

In Eastern Iowa, we would have had a White Christmas even if we hadn't added another 6 or 7 inches to the approximately 18 inches of snow already on the ground.

I'm ready for spring!

I'm getting a white after-Christmas. The entire Eastern Seaboard is getting hit. When the NFL postpones a game you know it's bad.

We had to look hard to see our snow in Arkansas -- just a few flakes in the air on Christmas Eve. Virtually everything slid just North of us, through Missouri and Illinois.

It's been pretty cold, though, teens and twenties -- just now got above freezing at 11:30 on Monday.

I probably wouldn't have bothered with such a boring report, neither way too much snow nor a heat wave moving through, but this looks like a good place to express my appreciation for the fine set of posters that we have here.

May the New Year bring everyone all the things they need and at least some of the things they want.
