Wow, except for the last one, this seems to be a pretty easy week to pick.
Baylor, Colorado, Iowa State, Missouri and Texas.
Now, as for K-State at Tech...I'll say Tech, because it is in USA, but I expect this to be one great game.

Although I picked K-State, that game is pretty much of a toss up. The hard one for me was ISU at Kansas. I picked ISU, but those two teams are somewhat unpredictable.

BU The Bears can get some nice momentum going with a payback win over the Cowgirls in Waco. They will be a team that no one wants to play in Dallas...
CU Buffs can sure use this night off to get their stroke back for the tourney...(sorry, Chipper...)
ISU could use another shot in the arm as well, but after the way they struggled in Ames with NU, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Kansas seize this opportunity at home...
Mizzou - can close out a promising season by beating up on the puzzling Aggies...
TEXAS is too close - and too focused - to let it all slip through their hands, at home on Senior night, against a hot-n-cold (and outgunned) but talented OU team, and hopefully we'll get a little help from...
Tech, who NEED very badly to beat KSU in Lubbock and prove they can outlast a top 10 team, not to mention the confidence boost it would give them going into Dallas. In truth, I think the Raiders dig deep Thursday (and they are deeper than KSU) and pull this one out - by getting someone in foul trouble and exposing KSU's bench issues.
Tech has the hosses to pound away with Wecker and Ohlde, and if Pierson comes unhinged the way she did in the 2nd half today, the Cats may need foul fodder that they don't have. That, and keeping Koehn on a short leash, could spell a big win for Tech. Oh, and hitting their FTs. Because KSU won't miss many of theirs.

Are you freakin' serious, pal? You think this team is taking ANYTHING for granted ? Hell, we may actually have some people in the Drum for this one. There's no turning back now. And if you have sold your soul to the devil for this, Chipper, you will get a fitting comeuppance, Cornshucker!

Oklahoma State at Baylor -- I really think Baylor is out to make a statement, after that thrumping in Aggieland, why stop with the other Aggies in their own house.
Colorado at Nebraska - Just never know what might happen when an Enron team is at home...though, I think Colorado goes blazing on into Dallas with a win.
Iowa State at Kansas - dang, this just might be the game of the night...
Texas A&M at Missouri - Missouri at home, Missouri on a mission, Missouri knows they can't lose to an Enron Cup team and have hopes of playing later in March.
Oklahoma at Texas -- dang, dang, puke, puke....girls, go out to the hills east of Norman where you find that Sooner magic red clay dirt..roll around in it, say a prayer over the long forgotten grave of the great Indian chief that is god over the howling coyotes... and maybe, just maybe....the Bevo Longhorns will head for the hills http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/tongue.gif
Kansas State at Texas Tech --- when was the last time Texas Tech lost two in the USA? I really don't think they will lose 2 straight......they are probably so fired up about losing a share of the pie, that they go and give Texas ANOTHER present Thursday nite. I really do want to see KSU win, so they tie the conference up, but I just don't see TTU losing twice at home in a row.

Can't Remember the last time Tech played 2 top 10 teams in a row at home. Will happen real soon.....KSU wins! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif
OK, the ball's back in your court Lady Raider fans.
Btw I also can't remember the last time Tech lost at home and had to turn around and face the #4 ranked team in the country.
Of course none of the above really means anything, which is my point. This will be played on a regulation basketball court with regulation balls and regulation hoops. Playing at the USA is no doubt an advantage but it won't determine the winner.

Chipper,
Im glad someone else in the conference finally realized that the dominant color down below was burnt orange!!! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Tech gave the best team in the conference all it could take. Tech played K-state a very close game last year without Pierson. I really felt that if Pierson would have played last year we could have beat them at their place. Tech is a much better team this year and no way does Ritchie or Perkins shoot as poorly as they did against Texas. Tech has never lost two in a row at the USA. Tech wins this game and finally gets the horns saying Thank you.

Thursday night could be a night of several firsts.K-State has never won at Tech. at least since the Big 12 began, so that could be a first. Tech has never lost 2 in a row at least on their home court, so that could be another first. Oh and by the way I would acknowledge that Tech probably is a better team than they were last year but K-State isn't exactly down from last year. Now the question is who's improved the most? If you go by stats there are an awful lot of Cats in the top 5-10 in almost every catagory. If you go by who wants it more..probably dead even on this one. Home court advantage goes to Tech. My prediction is that if both teams are playing at their peak the 3 point game will favor the Cats and whether you are a fan of the 3 point shot or not it is a huge momentum booster in the women's game just as the dunk is in the men's. If for some reason K-State is cold on offense Tech wins this game. If they both are shooting well K-State takes it via the boost from 3 point land.
Oklahoma State at Baylor
Baylor is still trying to prove that an NCAA berth is deserved, but it will take more than a win over OSU to provide convincing proof to the selection committee.
Colorado at Nebraska
Colorado wants to tune up for the tournament, while Nebraska wants to play well to provide an upbeat moment to punctuate a tough season. Things will be considerably better for the Huskers, next year.
Iowa State at Kansas
A rebuilding ISU team faces a Kansas team that has shown it will continue to improve, especially with another infusion of talent again next year. While KU may escape the bonds of the Enron Division next year, ISU is seeking respectability, and a berth in the NIT.
Texas A&M at Missouri
Missouri might be one of the most underrated teams in the country, while A&M appears to have decided that spring break will be a nice way to forget about another season gone sour.
Oklahoma at Texas
Oklahoma is not a bad basketball team. They have already proven that they can beat a quality team in North Carolina. Texas has proven that they can be a threat to win it all. Why am I picking OU. Well, I'm doing OK in the picks, but to move up I have to pick an upset or two. Is that being foolish?
Kansas State at Texas Tech
Tech played their hearts out at home against Texas, but it wasn't enough. KSU provides the same kind of test that Texas brought. Oh, one other thing. Laurie Koehn is back in the lineup of a team that has lost 2 games all season, most of them without her, and without any depth. KSU may be the toughest team in the country, and before all is said and done, they may prove to be the best. I attended the CU-KSU game, and watched the Tech-Texas game on the tube. KSU played harder against CU than Texas or Texas Tech played against each other. In spite of being at home, Tech has to climb the mountain.

What?
If you don't think Tech and Texas battled and played hard, you didn't watch the same game I did.
I did not say that, I said that KSU played harder. Both were epic games of struggle. Probably some others who were at the game in Boulder hold the opinion that Tech-Texas was the harder-fought game.
That is their right and opinion. I have my own.

OK, I plead coding incompetence.
If anyone wants to read the text of my explanations of my picks in the Colorado-Nebraska and Texas Tech-Kansas State games, they can obviously see that I was picking CU and KSU to win, in spite of the erroneous highlighting of the wrong teams.
Will anyone cut me some slack here? My intent was obvious, even though my coding was bad. Can I claim CU and KSU as my picks, in spite of my error? Please?!

Ah, a little controvery in the Pick Em contest. Didn't realize you're an Aggie YCN. As for the game featuring Kansas State at Texas Tech, I don't see why you can't clarify this pick since game still remains to be played. If you say Kansas State, seems to me that's how it should go.
Now the pick concerning Colorado vs. Nebraska....that's a cloudier picture. The Nebraska bolding raised my eyebrows. I thought it was a very bold (and foolish) pick. I'm comfortable leaving this in the hands of SWOK, the power behind Pick Em.
