This game was a case of two halves. The first half was KSU's. The Wildcats were aggressive and played their game. It seemed almost like CU was not ready to accept the fact that KSU was that athletic and aggressive. The Buffs had a "deer in the headlights look to them for a while. Then they get themselves righted and IMHO it started with playing better defense.
The Buffs won the second half big time. The Wildcats became mild cats. They did not move well and became too passive on both ends of the floor. I do not know if this is a fact, but it did seem to me that the KSU strategy was to avoid fouls almost at all costs. If that is the case it almost cost them the game. Give Colorado its due. They looked great in the second half. KSU on the other hand did step it up after CU whittled their lead down to nothing. It was a very exciting game but in truth KSU won "ugly". But I will always take a "W".
CU is a very good team and a shock at 0-3. I think all things being equal we are in trouble in Boulder. BTW KSU went 14-14 from the foul lime in the second half. That sort of thing saves you when other things are going wrong. CU was 4-10 from the line for the game.
