Arkansas Flood

Just saw the news about the Arkansas floods in the Albert Pike Camp in the Ouachita. How frightening to have rivers rise 20 feet over night. One report I read said a family of 11 lost at least 5 children :) My thoughts and prayers to those families.

The flooded area is about 75 miles or so West of Little Rock. The Caddo and Little Missouri Rivers rose from about 3 to 23 feet in a matter of a few hours overnight.

Sixteen are confirmed dead, with dozens more still missing. I know people who had a place in the area. They were fortunate in that they were able to get out, but their cabin was pretty much a total loss.

Saw pictures and reports on news feeds this morning. What a terrifying experience that had to be. I feel so bad for the people involved and my prayers go out to them and their loved ones.
