Nicole Ohlde was Player of the Week and Jamie Carey was named Rookie of the Week for this week.

Ohlde averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3 assists, .5 blocks and 1.5 steals for the week. She also recorded her third straight double-double.

Carey aveaged 14 points, 5.5 assists, and shot 6-9 fron three point range. She also averaged only 2 turnovers. She shot 8-9 from the line last week. She was also credited with playing good defense.

Congrats to both.

Congrats to Ohlde. "...averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals in the two outings. She also shot 51.8 percent (14-27) from the field and 78.5 percent (11-14) from the free-throw line." Ho Hum, just another day at the office. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Congrats to Jamie Carey. Texas would probably not be tied for first in conference w/o her.

I agree, Carolann, Carey is the piece that UT has been missing. She's made them a much better team.

No kidding about Carey! I was very impressed with her when Kansas State played Texas. For a youngster coming off of mono there was no doubt we were looking at a fine player. In spite of her medical history she has no fear and plays the game full out. In addition to her own scoring Stephens and Schrieber need her like Ohlde and Wecker need Domenico. I can see why Cardinal liked her so much.
