Looks like as of last Wednesday, you can purchase tickets per session rather than purchasing tickets for the entire tourney...
at Ticketmaster.

I bought all session through OU....I think the colleges are getting the better tickets; though Ticketmaster was spitting out seats in lower level to the side of the backboards last night.

I am looking forward to attending my 9th straight Big 8/Big 12 tournament.

One thing I will miss about Kansas City, and believe me, there won't be much I will miss, is that at the women's tournament, the area immediately behind the team benches was cleared after each game, and each team's fans got to sit behind their team's bench for their game. This is an old Big 8 tradition that went back to when the tournament was held in Salina.

Reunion is probably too big of an arena for this to happen, but I am willing to deal with that since we are not playing in a building built before World War II. Also I expect the Dallas people to be much friendlier and support the tournament better than the Kansas City folks did.

GoBuffs........you'll have to come meet up with the Hoopscoopers in Dallas. Last time we talked, we were thinking of sometime on Thursday.

Though it may be wise....in our restaurant picking...
that we actually call the restaurant before we show up. Don't think this will be the problem it was in KC.

I talked to OU's assoc athletic director and asked if she knew how they were handling the seats behind the basket, but she had NO idea if it were set up that way at all. That's why we decided to go ahead and get reserved seating through OU.

Here's hoping everyone who makes the trip to Dallas encounters lots of good ole Texas hospitality and southern charm. This will be my first tournament to attend....both for the men and women. Coming home just for the tournament. Normally vacation time is taken in summer months. I'm excited about 22 basketball games spread over a six day period. Basketball overload! Wish the schedule didn't conflict on 13 March for men's and women's tournaments. Sure hope both Baylor teams (or other Big XII schools) don't play at the same time on this date. That would be a disaster.

Men's tournament is already sold out. I'm very hopeful Reunion Arena will be rocking for the ladies tournament. Fully expect it will be. Semi-finals and championship need to be played before a full house. I know Texas and Texas Tech will have good numbers. Very hopeful a good portion of the 13,000+ who fill the gym in Manhattan will journey on down. I'm afraid the number of Bears and Sooners who make the trip will depend on how both teams finish out. As close as both schools are to Dallas, there's no excuse not to have many fans from Waco and Norman. Don't know how Iowa State will turn out due to distance and something of a down year. Cyclones really gained my respect with their turnout for regional finals last year, even when their team wasn't there. Colorado is also a mystery. Don't know how many will make the long journey to Dallas. Hope Missouri fans surprise me. Maybe with both men and women playing well more Tigers will make the trip than I think will. No disrespect to OSU, TAMU, KU, or NU but I'm expecting only the hard core fans from your schools in Reunion.

I follow Big XII action through this website (an incredible source of information), Yahoo sports, and the Baylorfans website. Nothing can replace the excitement of actually being there. With the league as balanced as it is this year, there's no telling how this tournament thing will turn out.

I will try to meet up with y'all, swok. Just keep me posted as to when and where. I am staying at the Adams Mark (where the CU team is staying) so I am sure it is convenient to just about everything. My friends and I bought our tickets through the school as well, hoping we will get to sit with other CU fans.

There was a rep from the tournament at the CU/OU game yesterday who was available in the Club Room after the game to answer questions. I had to leave right after the game, so unfortunately, I didn't get to talk to her.
