Buff fans, are you out there? Are you feeling as hopeless as I am about the state of women's hoops at CU? Are you tired of waiting? I've been a fan for 12 years, and I honestly don't think I can take another season like this one.
If you agree that it's time for a change, please take action. Write to the Chancellor at CU. He's the one who has the final say. Tell him how you feel. Tell him you don't even expect a response, because as someone pointed out on another thread, he can't discuss personnel issues. Just let him know that we are out here, and we care about women's basketball, and we just can't take it anymore!
Women's basketball at the University of Colorado deserves better than this.

Does anyone seriously think this is going to happen?

it could, they fired the volleyball coach who was more sucessful, but who knows, I think if they wanted to she would be gone, no matter the money. I just think they believe her snow job that "next year" is always the year. I do think letting the admin know there are people who care about this sport can't hurt.

Yes. But only if we let the Chancellor know that we think women's basketball is just as important as men's basketball and football. There are a lot of fans that are so fed up they have just faded away. Those of us who still care about women's sports need to let CU know how we feel.

I don't think anybody, probably including the players, is buying her next year garbage any more. She's been saying this since the day she arrived. First it was because she didn't have players suited to her style, then they were too young, etc. She always has an excuse when the truth is that she isn't a good coach.

Forgive me for this post.........
I for one want to give a vote of confidence to both Kathy and Kristi. This B12 conf. is tough enough as it is than to have to contend with the chance of two new coaches joining the fold and turning their teams into the mix of perennial contenders. :p
I'm often reminded of the bumper stickers being past around one year before one of the Bedlam football games that was in Stillwater that read something like "Cowboys 4 Blake." Seems the OSU faithful didn't want to see OU fire John Blake on the very good chance we'd hire an outstanding coach in his place.:D
edit to add: This goes for Mizzou's Cindy Stein, but we're a little bit late for that one.

The old vote of confidence. Wish that came from a CU official. :p

Hey LadyBuff, I finally spent the butt-load of $$$$ to get my new design software programs to install on my brand new computer. So that means I can make us new avatars to replace our cool animated old ones. Let me know what you'd like in yours and send me some links to some images you'd like to include as well.
And if there's anyone else out there that wants one, I'd be more than happy to make one for you too. It might take me a little bit of time, but since the season's almost over, we'll have them for next year.

Will do, Greg, and thank you. I love this picture of Spears, but have to decide which other player I would like. I wanted Houston, but it doesn't look like she will be back at this point.

Hey Buff Fans, I think I just found the perfect coach for you if the CU powers-that-be decide to ever pull the trigger.
I found this from one of Dale8R's posts:
Honored as Coach of the Year was UCA Coach Matt Daniel, former Colorado assistant.
Quote:
Central Arkansas coach Matt Daniel received coach of the year honors after leading the Sugar Bears to a 15-win improvement from last season. The turnaround ranks first in NCAA Division I this season and is the eighth-biggest improvement ever in Division I play. UCA finished 15-1 at home (.938) for the most home wins in a season in program history and the most in the Southland this season
Not only was Matt Daniel a assistant WBB coach in Coach Barry's last season, he played BB on the CU men's team for a season or two.

I would love to see Matt back at CU.
