BOULDER— Skier Matt Gelso (senior) and basketball standout Cory Higgins (junior) were named co-male athlete of the week, while senior basketball player Bianca Smith earned the award for the women. This is the second time Gelso has earned the award this season and the sixth of his career. Higgins has earned this award for the fifth time this season and the tenth over his career; Smith now has earned the honor 5 times over her career, with this being the first of the season.
