The one seeds seem to be set, even with a stumble in conference tournaments, UConn, Stanford, Nebraska and Tenn. There are some lesser known, to me, teams getting consideration for the coveted 2, 3 and 4 seeds: the Big East group, Notre Dame, West Virginian and Georgetown; ACC Duke and Florida State; A10 Xavier; SEC Kentucky and Big 10/11 Ohio State. Vying, I think, for the same spots are the Big 12 group of ISU, UT, OU, A&M. Does anyone have insight into these other teams? Xavier, in particular seems unworthy to me, 0-1 against the top 25.

#11 RPI and looks like they've clinched the Atlantic 10 Conference title.
And obviously, being East of the Mississippi, and playing other East coast teams, makes them better than anyone West of the Mississippi, with the possible, grudging, exception of Stanford. :p
I agree that Xavier seems overranked. They may win out in the A-10, but the conference is ranked 10th in the RPI; it has as many teams with sub-200 RPIs as double-digit RPIs (five each).
Here's Xavier's best five RPI victories: 33, @33, 34, n35, @39. And Xavier's losses: @18, 32, 51.
Compare/contrast the best five victories another three-loss team that's behind them in the polls and in Creme's projections, West Virginia: 13, @19, 26, 28, 31. And WV's losses: @1, @6, @10.
No question in my mind who should -- and will, I think -- get the better seed when the official brackets come around.

Duke, projected as a 2 seed and Kentucky, projected as a 4, both lost to unranked teams today - could create an opening for an opportunistic Big12 team with a strong finish.
