Red Raider fans, welcome to the Ferrell Center and Bear Country. I must admit I'm impressed. It's a long ride from Lubbock to Waco and back to Lubbock again. Support of your program is commendable. No...commendable is not stong enough. It's down right remarkable.
That said, I'm hoping it's a particularly long bus ride back home. Lady Bears need to win one we're not supposed to.
Anticipating plenty of red & black at Reunion Arena in mid-March in addition to swarms of orange & white. Don't know how much purple to expect. With team's success, I'm looking for Wildcat fan presence to be strongly felt. Just to add to the rainbow, I'll proudly be wearing my Baylor gold rush shirt. Expecting the Lady Bears to surprise a few folks and at least reach the semis.
Sic Em'
Just to add one more remark, I checked Raiders men's schedule and note they're hosting Oklahoma this same date. Now I'm just completely flabbergasted.

Since the game in Austin, this has been circled on my calendar as Tech's biggest remaining game of the season (yes, bigger than KSU and UT). After listening TT/BU in Lubbock, I will be very pleasantly surprised if Tech manages to leave Waco with a win. I will also feel much better about their chances in the tournament(s).

For me, since I am in Dallas for school, it is, go to the airport to pick one fan up (my mother), go to Austin to pick two more fans up (aunt and cousin), and then to Waco to the game! There are 4 fans already! I hear the Ferrell Center is just like Hawaii's San Sherrifs' Center. I've never been in Ferrell Center before but from pictures, it looks exactly like Hawaii's arena. I just hope that more Baylor fans make it to the game than Hawaii's fans did. We had just as many fans as Hawaii did and we made our presence known. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

RP.......I heard that Hawaii admins came to the US and looked at several arena's before they built their new one....
they decided on Baylor's http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
I love Baylor's arena, it's possible to be loud AND be heard...
I can't say the same for the arena in Norman....the acoustics are just different.

I think the dome aspect of the design really enhances the sounds of the crowd. Some of my classrooms incorporate this trait because they are so large. If it is anything like Hawaii's arena, the Ferrell Center must be a beauty!
