I really like her analysis. It is good to see her move into a high profile job with ESPN. I know you Sooner fans must be proud and enjoy her on the Sooner Network also. So many of the commentators are pretty blah. Besides being knowledgeable of the game, she is easy on the eye. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
How about that turn around by Tennessee. Vanderbilt was having their way with the Vols in the first half. Pat lit a fire under them at the half and Kara Lawson came up huge for them. Only undefeated team in the SEC now.

Having seen her up close this weekend, I must say two things.
1. She did a top notch job. She was well prepared, could talk the game and added a great deal to the broadcast in addition to doing a great group of preview segments on ESPN News on game day. I hope she gets some tourney assignments because she was much equal to the task.
2. She is a very nice person just to rap with in regards to the ball game, and she is rather attractive.
Needless to say, despite four years of wearing enemy colors and more often than not seeing her destroy my team...I like her very much.

I always thought she was a good speaker in post-game interviews throughout her career--she's very polished, doesn't stutter (as I would do!), and speaks very eloquently. What a great representative of OU (and the Big 12).

It looks as though Stacy isn't comfortable on TV. She looks too tense. BTW she's not bad, she's not a knockout or something. Brittany Jackson of Tenn, Sheana Mosch of Duke and Sue Bird of UConn from last years' Final Four all are better looking than Stacy.

I think Stacey does an outstanding job, especially given that she only received her degree last spring and less than half a year........she's putting it to use.
I don't know if OU will ever have a representative that encompasses all of the qualities that Stacey did. Stacey was a leader pretty much from Day 1, she's always been an eloquent speaker and her play on the court spoke volumes.
I really think she does a better job than some of the other folks I've heard, seems to be well informed about the players, the teams......and I don't see her favoring the OU team or using that venue to "plug" her alma mater.
Great job, Stacey http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I think of Stacey as being intense and focused rather than tense...she turns those eyes on the camera and you get a taste of what it was like to face her on the court.
I think she's doing a terrific job....fair (although she admits a leaning towards the Big 12), poised, knowledgeable, and up to date with the goings on of D1 WBB.
Speaking as a homer..she's been very complimentary to Tech especially Grant and Pierson lately and it's good to hear that mentioned on national tv.
I enjoyed the first half of the Vandy/Tenn game...but expected Pat to take on the challenge in the 2nd half and she certainly did.

Oh Mandy! I could discuss your accuracy as a Fox judge, but what's the point? Stacey was one of a number of WNBA players invited to do college half-times. Stacey was the one who they have asked back, making her something of a regular. They seem to know what they are doing.
Sheana Mosch?????

Over the years I have watched many former athletes make their first appearances as sports commentators and in my opinion Stacey Dales-Schuman ranks, coming out of the gate, right up at the very top. She is as smooth, polished, knowledgable, enthusiastic, and informative as any recent grad I can recall having seen in that role, in any sport. She has a great career ahead of her if she continues in that line.

Sure ESPN knows what it's doing. After all they did hire Rece Davis and Kenny Mayne and Charlie Steiner. Yeah great hires there.
Anyways yes SHEANA MOSCH!!!!! Got a problem with that? She's so much better looking that Stacy. Out of those four I named, Bird, Stacy, and Jackson, SHEANA MOSCH is the best looking by far.

I'm not sure why he/she is comparing Stacey Dales to players....
when we are talking about broadcasters......Doris Burke, Robin Roberts, Nell Fortner, Nancy Liberman, Michelle Tafoya....can't believe I forgot the name of one my favorites.

"Sure ESPN knows what it's doing. After all they did hire Rece Davis and Kenny Mayne and Charlie Steiner. Yeah great hires there."
Mandy, I hope this comment wasn't tongue-in-cheek, because if it is, I'd have to read, write and card-catalogue you right now.
Having worked with the above named people on many projects, the three people you have named are among the best broadcast professionals I've ever worked with. And Davis and Mayne are both women's basketball fans.
As for Stacy Dales. That kid is one of the best former players I've seen sit in that anchor chair with the red light on and do the job. It can be daunting for people who make a living doing it, but you have a kid, who hasn't done much of it and they come in and do a solid job.
As far Sheana Mosch goes. I'll reserve judgement there. I'll just go with what Al McGuire said once
"You can find a beautiful woman on every street corner in America, but its hard to find a big man who can hit a wide range of shots."

Chip I don't care if you worked with them or not. Both are terrible Sports Center anchors. If I can't sleep I could put in a tape of Mayne doing Sports Center and I'll fall asleep real quick. He's terrible. Davis isn't that bad but he shouldn't be an anchor. It's great that they're women's basketball fans but I'm talking about their lack of ability as anchors.
It's you who should be examined if you think those two are good. But then again all Neb fans have issues. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif And while you're at it go get your eyes checked and see Sheana Mosch again. The most beautiful women's basketball player!!!!!

"If I can't sleep I could put in a tape of Mayne doing Sports Center and I'll fall asleep real quick.
And why is Kenny Mayne so bad? Could you eloborate further?
According to the ratings, just mentioning the name "Kenny Mayne" brings in viewers.
"Davis isn't that bad but he shouldn't be an anchor. It's great that they're women's basketball fans but I'm talking about their lack of ability as anchors.
And Rece Davis lack ability? That immensely laughable in my mind, but I'd be interested in your take as to where he is deficient?
As for Ms. Mosch...Like I said I'll reserve judgement. My girlfriend said it would be best if I did http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif
I have a rule about ripping. If I say somebody't not good at I least can tell you why and bring evidence to back it up.
