Pretty good effort tonight for the Lady Raiders on both ends of the floor. Pierson has a career high, 32 points and a lot of the bench saw quality floor time. I think the 39 to 13 halftime score pretty much tells the story even though Natalie was ice cold from beyond the arc. I'm most excited about shooting 75% ft's...that's a victory itself!

Any win is a good win in the BIG 12!

YCN predicted correctly when she said Tech was now playing with a sense of urgency. It would seem that defense has been turned up a notch in the TT game plan!

Looks like Ayers won the battle at post this game - what's the story there?

For what it's worth, Pierson had a season record 38 Hoopla points, surpassing Villarroel's 36 on January 18. Unrau and Barr were completely shut down!

Having recently watched Unrau pulverize Iowa State with inspired and aggressive post play, I can't help but ask: HOW did they shut her down? She certainly wasn't intimidated by 9,000 screaming ISU fans at Hilton Coliseum.

Pierson was posessed; Greenwalt was eager to prove herslf again after her spanking (and benching) in Austin.

If Ritchie had not been ice cold (2-12 I think) from 3 point land, the score would have been much worse. Missouri only shot 12.5% from the field in the 1st half! WOW! What defense!

??? My favorite Tech player had 0 points and 2 rebounds in 9 minutes! Cisti, where are you?

It wasn't that Unrau played badly. It was that Jolee and help defense played so well.

Don't know who will start at post against KU. I rather suspect that Marsha will be guided in large part by effort in practice and matchups in the game.

Jolee was awesome...pulled down 11 boards, set some beautiful screens, hustled for the ball and helped out her team mates...Grant threw an inbounds to Jolee so hard, it jarred her..it's hard to jar Jolee

Perkins everywhere...she made a fabulous jumper from the free throw line where she hung in the air and then shot...you don't see women do that very often.

Cisti was not very effective last night. Jametra did a great job too.

Poor Mizzou was totally out of their offense in the first half, they couldn't make shots, free throws, rebounds...nothing worked.

To their credit, they came out in the 2nd half and played like the Missouri team we expected to see. Most of their offensive rebounds came in the 2nd half. Stretch James who doesn't look like a stretch has a beautiful high arching shot. Fisher got to work on the boards and Carter did a great job (she should have started). They came out and attacked everything in the 2nd half, they didn't give up...they didn't give in. They are a well coached, well skilled team....be careful of them.

Two things most impressed me about Tech
Mizzou came out in the 2nd half and had a nice 8-0 run....and then Tech (Pierson) put it into overdrive. I believe it was suggested to Pierson at half time that when she is double/triple teamed that she needs to kick the ball out. She had some nice assists in the 2nd half as well as plenty of her own points.

Tech had some of the best transition baskets I have seen from ANY team in ANY conference all year. They brought that ball down, there were 3 or 4 very hard, quick passes and before any one could blink, Natalie was open and hit a three. The whole thing took maybe a few seconds. That's Lady Raider basketball.

I like Mizzou (I really like Carter) and I liked the way Coach Stein handled them the first half...she wasn't yelling at them..that would not have helped...she was coaching.

One of Tech's fast breaks last night was one of the prettiest Ive ever seen. All five players touched the ball during the break and it ended up in Ritchie's hands for a three.
