31 Kodi Morrison 5-8 G FR Seminole, Okla. (Varnum HS)

She was on the bench tonight. The story I heard was that SC called around to see if there was a player around who wasn't playing someplace she might be interested in and heard about Kodi who scored 32 points in last year's B Tournament. SC asked where Kodi was. Answer: at OU!

At shoot around, she missed one 3 - made the rest and no, I forgot to count how many she made - grin

Edited to add- I also heard that SC asked when she had last played - it was her HS state championship. SC's response: this is going be to HARD work - welcome!

& and apology - I was so excited I couldn't even spell Sooner (and have no idea how to correct a thread title)

I guess SC finally heard me. :D I said right after Hand went down that OU should check to see if there wasn't somebody at school that could help.

Found some other info on Kodi:

Kodi won a place on the OU rowing team:

Sept. 13, 2009 NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma Head Rowing Coach Leeanne Crain and Assistant Coach Andy Derrick announced the novice roster for the 2009-10 season Sunday. The novice team joins the 31 varsity members to make up the Oklahoma rowing team.

From http://coachesaid.com/Blog/Kevin-Farr/2010/1/5/Kodi-Morrison-walking-on-at-OU

The last time we saw Kodi Morrison on the basketball court she was putting on an incredible performance with 33 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in a dominating 56-36 Class B state finals win for Varnum over Cyril en route to state tournament MVP honors last March at State Fair Arena....
She would seem to be a natural in that role following a fabulous prep career in which totaled 2,530 points, sixth best on the Oklahoma 5-on-5 state career scoring list. ... Morrison will be the lone Okie on the Sooner roster.

Will be interesting to see the small school standout get a chance at the Division I level.

She also played softball in HS - was on the 2009 Slow Pitch Softball All-State Teams (small school East team)

She was on the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association's 2009 All State small HS East team
