I've never been good at these contests, but what the heck:
Oklahoma over Colorado (the 1st of many epic battles this season)
Iowa State over Kansas State (this game worries me)
Texas Tech over Kansas (Tech's warm up game for Saturday)
Texas over Nebraska (If this were in Lincoln I might pick differently)
Kansas State over Baylor (toughest game to pick)
Iowa State over Nebraska (won't be last year's bloodbath, but should be easier than KSU)
Kansas over Texas A&M (the game for the 11th seed)
Texas Tech over Oklahoma (would only wish OU's schedule on UConn)
Colorado over Texas (Buffs will take out the OU loss on UT)
Missouri over Oklahoma State (A game Missou has to win to have any NCAA hopes)

I wil try and compile these into a spreadsheet and keep them updated...not sure when, maybe when I'm listening to OU's game on the internet Saturday. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Once I get it started, it's fairly easy to maintain and I can post weekly "Pick 'Em" standings.

I'm still getting my clock adjusted from the San Diego trip. :-) I've given it some serious thought, and I'm gonna go with Nebraska to upset the Longhorns. It's a very winnable game for Paul and the girls.

Lets have some fun..Wednesday Games only!
Wednesday
Colorado at Oklahoma... Colorado has found their guard play, finally. The Buffs inside game with Bjorklund and Hartshorn could be a match for Oklahoma. The Sooners guards have the advantage. Caulfied and Dales are Formula 1 cars. Roulier and Hartshorn are Chevrolets
Oklahoma 79, Colorado 69
Kansas State at Iowa State
The Manhattan Project did well in the non-conference schedule, but now the first test against an Iowa State team who got scared in San Diego.
KSU will play like a first division but will fall short
Iowa State 82, Kansas State 70
Kansas at Texas Tech...Another Red Raider walks out of camp? What is going on in Lubbock? The players that are left are more than capable of beating Kansas. The Marian Washington Goodbye Gautlet begins right here
Texas Tech 94, Kansas 54
Texas at Nebraska....Jody Conradt's Day Care vs. Sanderford's House of Smoke and Mirrors. Texas has the talent, but have been shaky over the last 4 games. Nebraska's 1-3 vs. postseason qualifiers, and have lost 13 of their last 17 vs. postseason qualifying teams.
But the Huskers are at home, even they can't lose at home, can they?
Nebraska 62, Texas 60

Now for the first full weekend of Conference Play
Baylor at Kansas State
The battle of the K-Cars feauturing #16 Baylor vs. #22 Kansas State (all ranking used are ChipperSports Organisation rankings)
BaylorChrysler is last years rebuilding story. But their twin Vipers Crockrum and Lambert are still around and some new models are doing well. KSU is coming off a grand win over #5 Iowa State, and a little child led them in freshman Kendra Wecker.
This is a toss up ballgame.
Baylor is itching to prove they aren't a weak schedule superstar. I think they'll do it. Baylor 69, Kansas State 67
Nebraska at Iowa State....
ICBM State misfired greatly against KSU. Looked shaky against San Diego. Nebraska gave one of the best efforts of the season against Texas. Look on the bright side, at least I don't have the sit through a 43-point laugher this time.
Iowa State 82, Nebraska 59
Texas A&M at Kansas
The Big 12 Battle of Backfielders. Texas A&M has more talent than Kansas, but Kansas is a better team, not that that is saying much.
I'll take Kansas here
Kansas 61, Texas A&M 55
Texas Tech at Oklahoma
The game that Fox Sports Net SHOULD show. OU's small and fast lineup opened up against a solid post team in Colorado. TTU has dealt with a personality conflict and a Declaration of Independence this season, but we hold these truths to be self-evident that TTU isn't quite equal to Oklahoma.
Oklahoma 78, Texas Tech 73
Sunday
Texas at Colorado
Jody's Day Care minded their Ps and Qs as they beat Monica Lewinsky University-Lincoln. Colorado again had offensive breakdowns against Oklahoma, despite a 20-point performance by Mandy Nightingale.
Stacy, Heather and Tracy will hook 'em at home
Texas 70, Colorado 61
Missouri at Oklahoma State
Loser of this game joins the Nebraska-Texas A&M-Kansas "We really suck" Division of the Big 12.
OSU, welcome to the division
Missouri 65, Oklahoma State 57
and finally...A special pick on the biggest game of the weekend
#1 Connecticut 77, #2 Tennessee 70
UConn knows what they are doing, Tennessee doesn't quite know what they are doing and that is the difference.
