http://volleytalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=29480 Here's the discussion at volleytalk. No doubt it will go on for a good many more pages, currently at 13.

Perspective: Texas was 18-0, ranked #2 in the NCAA behind Penn State. Iowa State had recently cracked the top ten and is now #8 at 20-3.

I know I'm talking to myself at the moment, but I figure someone might check in later.

You are not totally talking to yourself. I've got the CU-Kansas match on and my girls are doing their usual job, but it's been close.

It was announced during the match that Iowa State had beaten Texas. Congratulations, :ISU:

I hope that the Cyclones get a good path into the NCAA tournament. With their momentum, I wouldn't be surprised to see ISU have a 2-match win streak over Nebraska after that 74 (75?) match losing streak at 0000h on Sunday.

May have to drive over for this match. Would football game be over so I could find parking close to Hilton and do I need to purchase tickets in advance since I know how Nebraska travels.

Tickets in advance probably wouldn't be necessary. Hilton in VB configuration holds maybe 9-10k. If they sell out (not likely, but possible) it would be due to walk-up sales. I think most seating is GA, so you'd want to be there early anyway.

Parking shouldn't be an issue. FB is at 2:30, so it should be done by 5:30 or 6:00. VB doors open at 7 and match is at 8.

EDIT: Volleyball capacity is 8524. http://www.cyclones.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10700&ATCLID=3761318

Christy Johnson-Lynch for National Coach of the Year. She gets my vote :)

I was watching it last night and I saw a Final Four caliber ballclub getting things done.
These 'Clones have some game.

This was an amazing game to watch. Hilton's magic was alive and well. I went to the Baylor game too. Baylor was very scrappy team that dug alot of balls, where Texas just seem to rely on kill and done. Well ISU started diggin the kills and dishing there own. Texas coach got a yellow card in this game and came really close to getting a red. He had some good reasons to gripe, but the fact is when your missing hits, serves, your not going to win games and getting frustrated and showing it doesn't help either.

Great win and can't wait for the rematch with NU. I'll be there loud and proud.

Just checked and tickets are only $5 and appear to all be GA. I will have to see if I can borrow some Iowa State gear from my nephews. You wouldn't want me showing up in my Colorado volleyball t-shirt.

Iowa State lost to Nebraska in straight sets tonight. They drew a record attendance 10,203. I was hoping the Clones could win this one.

I am happy that my Buffs won a volleyball match on the road. They have now won 2 matches in the Big 12-both against Texas Tech.
