I'll go with Kansas State, Kansas, Texas Tech, and Texas, but I'll also predict at least one upset. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

TXs N Os

Oops, didn't mean to overlook Colorado vs. Nebraska. Colorado should win this one fairly easily.

Nebraska at Colorado - altitude? short roster? If it were the game in Lincoln, I might feel differently.....Colorado.

Iowa State at Kansas State - too many weapons on the floor, KSU goes ballistic.KSU

Kansas at Oklahoma State - I think OSU *bounces* back and wins this one.....gotta win the ones you can. OSU

Texas Tech at Oklahoma - I may be a homer, but in Mred's words...
I'm not stupid http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Texas Tech too talented for my young team. However, if OU manages to win this game, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER
pick against them again at home. Texas Tech.

Texas at Texas A&M - hmmmmmm, another vaunted road game for the Longhorns. Naw, the Longhorns win this one.

Tuesday, Jan. 14
*Nebraska at Colorado, 8 p.m.....Neither team had much offense Saturday, but even I can't be the homer in this one. Colorado has more talent than Nebraska, more cohesion than Nebraska, and they are at home. I hope Woody Page doesn't show up to this one.

Colorado 65, Nebraska 45

Wednesday, Jan. 15
*Iowa State at Kansas State, 7 p.m.....The Clones had a rough one with Kansas and now travel to New Clay Center to tackle the Wildcats. I have a feeling this is the upset special.

Iowa State 68, Kansas State 65

*Kansas at Oklahoma State, 7 p.m......Hmm, key Enron cup battle here. Young Kansas nearly clipped ICBM State in Ames, Okie State stumbled versus OSU.

I smell winning streak....Kansas 69, Oklahoma State 62

*Texas Tech at Oklahoma, 7 p.m.....Two sterling defensive efforts going at it...Hmmm Maria versus Jia, hmmmm...I hope the Red Raider network has this game via Scientific Atlanta or somebody does. It's the game of the night.

I'll take TTU, but not by much. This Oklahoma team just need to find its offensive pulse, but I like what they have. Texas Tech 65, Oklahoma 60

*Texas at Texas A&M, 7 p.m......The Aggies will hang tough, but Heather and Stacy will open the gap with their usual ability inside.

Texas 77, Texas A&M 64

Now the picks get a little more difficult.

Nebraska at Colorado - I'd be tempted to pick this the other way if it was at Lincoln, because of the huge dose of reality dealt the Buffs in Manhattan, but here I have to go with the home team. Colorado doesn't have the players to harass Johansen the way OU did, however.

Iowa State at Kansas State - Cats are on a roll, which should continue through Wednesday and beyond.

Kansas at Oklahoma State - Cowgirls showed me nothing against A&M, and KU is much improved.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma - I hate picking against the Sooners, but Tech and KSU are the class of the conference, and I won't be picking against either of them very often this year.

Texas at Texas A&M - Way too much talent for the improved Aggies.

Would love to say something original, but this doesn't seem to be the week.

Colorado over Nebraska (Although I love the fire and heart of the Nebraska girls, I don't think they have the horses.)

KSU over ISU. (What can I say? KSU is like a runaway train.)
KU over OSU. (I have been really impressed with the way Kansas has bounced back this year.)
TTU over OU. (What did you expect? I am a homer. I do get nervous about this one, though. It has been a while since we won in Norman, but hey! I will be at this game so I'm bound to make a difference.)

Got so excited about going to OU that I neglected to finish my projections.

UT over TAMU. (No comment.)

I soooooo want to go to Norman on Wednesday!!!!!! I live on the North side of Richardson so it wouldn't be that much of a drive. Anyway....here are my picks:

Colorado
Kansas State
Kansas
Texas Tech
Texas

NU @ CU - Colorado
ISU @ KSU - Kansas State (At this point, I don't expect anybody to beat K State at home this year.)
KU @ OSU - Oklahoma State (This will be a really good game IMO. OSU should pull it out.)
TTU @ OU - Texas Tech (I learned that Tech is vulnerable this weekend and OU will be tough on them at home. I expect this to be a close game if OU's inside game is on. Anxious to see if Davis can perform the way she did Saturday.)
TU @ A&M - Texas

Zo, you are right, of course, Tech is vulnerable at times. I am hoping, though, that last year's experiences will result in our bending occasionally, but not breaking.

LaToya has been a force on the boards from the begining. Now she is finishing better. She gets great rebounding position and she is so strong that it is difficult to move her off the block.

Well I might as well throw in my wags.

CU over NU but the Buffs better be ready to play.

KSU over ISU but without Koehn the Wildcats (you get the picture)

KU over OSU, This is a pick-um game to me but I do like the raw skills KU has.

TTU over OU. All that heart and class won't be enough at Marsha's house.

UT over TAMU. Plenty of heart here too.

Colorado over Nebraska - Buffs rebound big at home against an overmatched opponent – CU by 20

Kansas State over Iowa State - ISU will have their wins, and some upsets, but not this time – KSU by 12

Kansas over OSU - tough call on this one but the big loss at UT was one of the few blowouts you will see in this conference, and the loss at home to TAMU leads me to believe that this team will compete for last place – Kansas by 8

Oklahoma over Texas Tech - lots of people talking about this one being close - I'll go ahead and pick the Sooners - TTU is good, but I don't think good enough, at least yet, to go without an upset loss - this seems like a time that could happen – OU by 2

Texas over Texas A&M - Two road wins in row - is it possible? Texas by 12

two cents

Nebraska at Colorado---Tera and Amber need to "rebound" in this game...CU over NU

Iowa State at Kansas State---Cyclones slowly improving A/TO ratio...Wildcats matching offense w/ defense...KSU over ISU

Kansas at Oklahoma State---can Jayhawks exploit OSU's sagging D...Goodenough needs to convince team they're playing ArKansas...OSU over KU

Texas Tech at Oklahoma---Norman was tough when it was just Coale and Whaley...Sooners still adjusting on the fly...Raiders have shown determination on road...have faced 2 slow down games so far...TTU over OU

Texas at Texas A&M---expect fewer turnovers this year w/ Carey aboard...will 'Horns let Aggies get any rebounds...UT over A&M
