Andrea Riley Named Preseason All-Big 12

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State senior Andrea Riley was one of five players named to the preseason All-Big 12 Team it was announced today by the league office.
A first-team all-league performer as a sophomore and junior, Riley has led the Big 12 in scoring each of the past two years. The Dallas, Texas native was also named an honorable mention All-America pick by the Associated Press following a campaign that saw her average 23.0 points and 6.0 assists per game.
She enters her final season as a Cowgirl on the preseason lists for the Wade Trophy and the Wooden Award. Riley was also a preseason first-team All-America pick by Athlon Sports.
Joining Riley on the squad were Kansas' Danielle McCray, who was also chosen as the preseason player of the year, Nebraska's Kelsey Griffin, Oklahoma's Danielle Robinson and Texas' Brittainey Raven.
Riley and the Cowgirl basketball squad will get their season underway with a Nov. 10 exhibition against Washburn at 6 p.m. in Stillwater.
