Texas is pulling away late. Keep hitting those free throws, Stacy!
Off our back! Off our back! The road monkey is off our back!
70-59 Texas!

I'd be very disappointed if I was was a Tiger fan. Since I'm a Longhorn fan, I'm happy and relieved. In the last few minutes of the game, the Longhorns executed and managed the game pretty well. The Tigers committed fouls and turned the ball over (with a little help from Texas). I can't believe Heather has had two problematic games in a row. In both games, she has had to leave the game early in the first half because of foul trouble, and failed to get into a rythym offensively. Heather hit a big shot near the end of the game though. Kala shot badly again in the first half but improved in the second half. Once again, Kala made up for shooting problems with her other contributions including good defense and rebounding. From the radio broadcast, it sounded like Stacy had a good game though Conradt said Stacy was frustrated during the game. Tai Dillard scored a season high 17 points. The presence of Jamie Carey was the final piece of the puzzle though. Without her leadership and ability to hit big shots, Texas might have come home w/o a road victory once again.
Very likely, Heather is going to have to adjust to being the focus of opposing teams.

Dissapointed? Yeah, you could say that. We knew going in that Texas was a darn good team, but the old "Well, we sure did play a great team close" stuff wears on you after a while. I can't remember our Tigers playing such inspired ball, and fantastic defense. They just went into a spell of ice cold shooting, including two little bunny shots, and weren't able to make up the deficit. They're close, but I've said that before and watched that final step just never get taken.
Get ready to get physical when the Longhorns come to your town! They like to bang around.
Congrats to the UT fans on a great team, and a good win on the road today.

Fight, Tigers!
Thanks, Daddo.
I think the most satisfying thing about today was hearing the ladies keep their cool and pull away at the end. That is encouraging.
The Hearns Center seems to inspire Tai Dillard. She had a monster game there 2 years ago as a soph.

25 minutes for Jamie. She must be feeling better. I bet that did help stabilize the team when they needed it most.

BTW, good to see you back Daddo. I still think the Tigers will be much tougher to beat in just a few weeks.
How are James, Mack, Perkins, and Bond coming along in their development?
