Baylor at Texas Tech - Dionne Brown comes back to Lubbock, but then again so does Sheryl Swoopes and the rest of the National Championship team. Unfortunately, neither will have an impact in the game. Texas Tech

Colorado at Kansas State - That's why I picked CU to finish 5th in the conference and KSU to tie for first. Kansas State

Texas at Missouri - Missouri appeared strong against a Baylor team that no one is really sure about right now. Texas though gets its first road victory by 5 points. Texas

Oklahoma at Nebraska - Each team doesn't have many roster players sitting on their bench, but that won't be a problem for either coach, but OU still the more talented team. OU wins by 8.

Texas A&M at Oklahoma State - Folks, this could very well determine who finishes last in the conference. Could be an exciting one, but OSU better at home. OSU by 15.

Baylor at Texas Tech - ouch! a huge test for a young team in a tough place to play. Texas Tech.

Colorado at Kansas State -purple, smurple, KSU at home. KSU

Kansas at Iowa State - Kansas too young, too new to pull off a win here. ISU.

Texas at Missouri - Now this game could be interesting given Texas' difficulties on the road thus far. But Missouri just doesn't have the guns this year. Texas.

Oklahoma at Nebraska - argh! I'm contemplating this one; I think after a week and half of Coale's practices after that awful game at Stanford; Sooners come out gunning and never look back.

Texas A&M at Oklahoma State - ah, this here looks to be the game of the week......I'll go with OSU since they are at home.

Texas Tech - at home in front of 13,000 fans at USA.
Kansas State - Cats in their house too tough for CU.
Iowa State - Cyclones get desperately needed win for confidence.
Texas - has more weapons, should limit Unrau and Barr.
Oklahoma - strong schedule has Sooners better prepared to win.
Oklahoma State - Aggies desperately need a win here, won't get one.

Oklahoma State over Texas A&M...agree with swok, good evenly matched game, should be fun.

Texas Tech over Baylor - Baylor still has a lot to prove and I don't think they will be doing much of that when the first quality opponent they face is TT, and in Lubbock. KMR is a great coach, and they have some good players but they lost too much to expect them to stay at the top of a good conference race. TT by 15.
KSU over CU - Colorado is good, but not as good as KSU. At home I can't see KSU losing this one. KSU by 12.
ISU over Kansas - Kansas is better and ISU is not as good. But, the gap hasn't closed enough for an upset on the road. ISU by 10.
Texas over Missouri - Missouri is not a bad basketball team, but probably the weakest Texas will have faced on the road up to this point. And, Texas is still improving. Texas by 20.
Oklahoma over Nebraska - Nebraska is better and Oklahoma is hurt playing on the road. Still not enough. Oklahoma by 15.
Oklahoma State over TAMU - TAMU starts and finishes the season at the bottom of the conference. OSU by 15

Baylor at Texas Tech - Texas Tech
Colorado at Kansas State - Kansas State
Kansas at Iowa State - Iowa State
Texas at Missouri - Texas get its first road win
Oklahoma at Nebraska - Oklahoma, but I had to think about this for awhile.
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State - Oklahoma State, if the guards can take care of the ball. With the loss of Kim Moore, the Aggies leading rebounder, A&M's slim hopes for the season get slimmer.

Texas at Missouri-Will the horns finally win on the road? Yes.
Oklahoma at Nebraska-OU
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State-OSU

Baylor at Texas Tech [TTTV], 2:15 p.m.....At last, Baylor plays "somebody", and TTU is a serious "somebody". The Red Raider march to the Big 12 Championship begins here.

Texas Tech 81, Baylor 66

Colorado at Kansas State, 1 p.m.....This year's Big 12 Powerpuff Girl looks a lot like a budding Heptathlete from Boulder Fairview. Ambermania meets the original Big 12 Powerpuff Girls (now renamed "Jimi's Angels.") Laurie, Nicole, and Kendra are at home, and nothing stops the Clay Center Cats at home.

Kansas State 76, Colorado 69

Kansas at Iowa State, 2 p.m....ICBM State got Metoyerized with the game in their pockets, but showed that their arsenal can compete in the Big 12 arms race. The Jayhawks are clay pigeons here.

Iowa State 84, Kansas 54

Texas at Missouri, 1 p.m......Missouri's in the hunt for the Enron Cup, but Texas is trying to rise to challenging TTU and KSU.

Texas 79, Missouri 60

Oklahoma at Nebraska [FSN], 12 p.m. After a week of regrouping (tending to the scars Borg Implant tend to cause in humans), The Sooners trade a Borg assault for battle with undermanned but a game Klingon band of Huskers who's honor is smarting by losing to a winless Tribble of a team.

Four reasons why the USS Sherriprize will be forced to surrender. 1. Nebraska's guards are finding ways to score 2. Nebraska's guards can stop people from scoring 3. Teresa will never see the ball because of #1 and #2 4. This isn't last years team, and they won't quit early.

Nebraska 66, Oklahoma 51

Texas A&M at Oklahoma State, 2 p.m....Oklahoma State will be the next of many to consign TAMU to the back. The Peg Gillom Doomsday Clock ticks on.

Oklahoma State 68, Texas A&M 53

Baylor at Texas Tech---this game makes me nervous...don't think the Bears know they're supposed to lose this one...if Raiders play another "half" game, they could be in serious trouble...TTU over BU

Colorado at Kansas State---'Cats will test any defense...good challenge for Buffs...KSU over CU

Kansas at Iowa State---if Cyclones can keep turnovers down, they should control this one...ISU over KU

Texas at Missouri---I know the Longhorns are the better team but...Tigers have knocked off either Tech or Texas at home each of last 3 years...MU over UT

Oklahoma at Nebraska---plenty of rest and prep time for each team after a sour loss...should be an interesting game...Sooners need to hit some shots...OU over NU in a squeaker

Texas A&M at Oklahoma State---Aggies unexpectedly played slow-down ball against Tech...gotta think the full-court press will be more useful here...Cowgirls prone to turnovers...A&M
over OSU

BU @ TTU - At Tech? The Sharpies won't lose here. Maybe at BU?

CU @ KSU - Whadya think I'm gonna say? But it will be tougher if we don't have Koehn at 100%. The Buffs are a good team.

KU @ ISU - KU is going to break some other team's hearts this year. They have a lot more ability than last year. They will break that losing streak but not at ISU. ISU

UT @ MU - Even at Mizzo Texas is going to prevail.

OU @ NU - This one hurts for my OU friends but I think NU will knock off the physically and mentally beat up Sooners in an upset in the Devaney Center.

Tamu @ OSU - aTm has serious problems and OSU is regrouping. OSU

Off to the game shortly. I'm told both the CU game and the mens game with TTU are near sell outs. The men only had 800 tickets left at five last night.

Oklahoma at Nebraska. What looked like a questionable decision by the TV schedulers earlier may turn out to be the game of the day. OU survives by 3 and breathes a big sigh of relief.

Colorado at Kansas State. An important game in the Northern division. Kansas State will win, but the Buffs will walk off the floor with a look that says this battle is not over. March 1 is coming. K-State by 11.

Texas at Missouri. The 'Horns will take a tiger by the tail to get the monkey off their backs. Texas by 8.

Kansas at Iowa State. This session's Hoopla has become the Lindsey Wilson Express. She'll get help from her teammates and the home crowd today as well. Iowa State by 17.

Texas A&M at Oklahoma State. Who wants to be last? The loss of Kim Moore has set the Ags back a little farther. OSU by 4 at home.

Baylor at Texas Tech. How will the Bears fare against their toughest competition to date. Not well, I'm afraid. Tech by 21.
