McGhee said the family left Pocola in a dispute over gym access with a new principal.
"We didn't want to fight with them," she said. "It's been great in Howe. Better than I imagined."
Recruiting is heavy and that means receiving some 10 to 15 letters a day from major college programs.
"I want to stay close to home," McGhee said. "It's 45 minutes to the University of Arkansas and three or four hours to the University of Oklahoma. But I've got two more years to decide that."
