Stephanie Simon torn her medial meniscus in her right knee after making a post move in the paint during practice.

ok, this is getting to be not so fun http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/frown.gif
We have 10 players that will be in uniform on come Saturday at noon from here on, voodoo hex injury: go away. And I don't think our volleyball teams any good to draw from like Nebraska http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

There is not much left to say here. OU seems to be in the running for some kind of very dubious record for most players lost to injury in one season. Very sad for a player who worked hard in obscurity for years. In her senior year, she becomes an important player in games and boom. It's pretty much over.

It does not seem fair for a player who has already worked her way back from two ACL injuries to lose the bulk of her senior season. Reminds me of Jen Cunningham who finished with something like 4 (?) ACL tears.

You are right---it isn't fair---Stephanie has worked hard, been a trooper and been a true team player. On the other hand, we all play with the cards we are dealt---who can say life is really fair????
