to Virginia. 51-46 with 5:05 left. Duke is shooting below 30% for the game, and have only had the lead 1 time.

Alana just got a steal, took it the length, and hit a pull up jumper to take a one point lead, 58-57 with 48seconds left.
Alana is the only Duke player who had a field goal in the first half!!!

Holy smokes, that's unbelievable. Talk about getting no support from your teammates! Yikes!

Beard nails 2 FTs with .8 seconds left to get a 1 pt win, 60-59.
I think Beard had 40.

Beard missed a shot, was going for the rebound, and was fouled. The announcers (Duke) of course said it was a good call and the UVA player should have let her get the ball as she would have had to nailed a long shot to get the win.

Duke is INCREDIBLY lucky to have won tonight. It seems like they had the ball almost the entire last minute of the game, and most of that time trailed by 1. Let's see - 2 (or is it 3) offensive rebounds, a tied ball (possession arrow to Duke), and a foul with almost no time remaining on Virginia on a scramble for a loose ball. Of course, Beard was the one fouled!

Beard scored 41, the rest of the Duke team scored 19 points.

This team either better figure out what's wrong in a hurry, or they aren't going to the Final Four.

Virginia, even with the missing starters, isn't more than a very average team.

When you've got a good player like Chrissy Floyd on your team, you can hang with anyone, I think UVA will be a dangerous team in the ACC. Right now though, I would pick North Carolina to win the confernece. Duke has been inconsistent.

And now the question that will plague WNBA GMs for 1 1/2 more seasons...Alana Beard or Diana Taurasi?
