Check out AggieSports.com's take on the game with Tech titled
"Pierson wins battle against Ag roster" http://www.aggiesports.com/columnists/premeaux/010903piersonbattle.htm
just a brief quote from the article...
For most of the first half, Texas A&M’s Big 12 opener in women’s basketball had a back-and-forth, nip-and-tuck flavor.
Not between Texas A&M and No. 8 Texas Tech, though. That contest ended about 10 minutes in when the Lady Raiders ran off eight straight points and then ran away.
The better matchup at Reed Arena pitted all of A&M’s roster (minus Kim Moore, the Aggies’ leading rebounder and main inside presence) against one Plennette Pierson, a 6-foot, 2-inch senior post who played like a one-woman wrecking ball Wednesday.
A quick scan of the final stat sheet will show A&M beat Pierson. Soundly, too, as the Aggies more than doubled Pierson’s 25 points with a 56 spot.
Having worked at TAMU, I didn't know the Ags had this kind of humor when it comes to losing a game...but I can't imagine they would write this type of article after losing to Tech in football...
