Texas Tech has named Shannon Hays head softball coach. He is the son of former baseball head coach Larry Hays. Shannon has been coaching softball at Lubbock Christian University for 2 years. He started the softball program at LCU and took them to the NAIA national championship that first year. They were runner-ups this year. Sounds like a very good hire.
