Here is an interesting article from the Ames paper talking about the troubles of Iowa State. It sounds like the players understand what they are needing to do, but having trouble executing.

Things were bad last year when Wilson, Welle and Gahan were the only players who were consistent scoring threats. This year it is pretty much Wilson, and I think the other players are struggling with who wants to be the leader. It's tough to win with one scorer, and four role players.

I'm confident Fennelly will get this all sorted out....but hopefully it is soon! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif http://www.gocyclones.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=6623383&BRD=2034&PAG=461&dept_id=238626&rfi=6

I listened to the coach's teleconference today, and there are several coaches who seem to be going through the same thing.

Here was Coach Coale's analogy about returning to the basics and the teaching:

You know when you have your first child, you don't have any idea what you're doing, but you are really excited about and it's really hard, but you figure it out. THEN you have your second
child and it's like, oh no, I remember this....she's going to wake up at 3 in the morning every morning for the next 2 months.
