Another big night for Greenwalt and a breakout game for Jolee Ayers. Tech didn't really pull away until the last 8 min. Was not a blow out as it might appear. KU did a nice job for most of the game.

shoot, shoot , shoot, shoot , shoot.

I had Ayers in my Hoopla! lineup but changed it to Jackson at the last moment. At least I had Greenwalt.

KU did a nice job guarding the perimeter. Scott was all over Tarr most of the night and did a great job denying 3 point attempts. They also were willing to run which surprised Tech a bit but in the 2nd half, their conditioning wasn't as strong as the Tech players and it really hurt. It took a while for Hilgenkamp to get her first points...deep into the 2nd half, but when she did get them, they were terrific, deep shots. I was impressed anew with Scott and Walsh.

But Tech's post players found their game last night. There were wonderful, beautiful passes down on the low block...consistently getting the ball into Cisti's or Jolee's hand's who knocked down the baskets. Jolee had her break out game, kept her composure on offense and created some great shots for herself.

Tech had 21 assists and shot 50%FG and had 46 rebounds to KU's 24.

If anything was a bit awry, it was the defense which struggled at times last night in some odd ways. But KU was doing a great job on offense. They were agressive and persistent and played a good game. Coach Sharp was none too happy at half time...things were pretty ragged, they didn't have the flow they had against Vandy.

I was really pleased with the post play...looking forward to Saturday and OU coming to town hopefully to a packed house.
