View Full Version : Texas/Nebraska
Texas fell behind 7-0 early, but has fought back for a 27-21 halftime lead. Hard to tell much from the radio, but it sounds as if the intensity is there tonight for the Horns. Not shooting well from the field but making up for it at the line. Both teams are ragged from behind the arc.
Good to see Keasha Cannon back on the floor for NU.

Yes Texas definitely seems to be composed so far, not in a panic because of the poor shooting. They will have to show this maturity for 40 minutes if they are going to win on the road.

Texas wins!! 61-54.
Way to go, ladies! A crucial road win to start off Big XII conference play.
Katie Robinette killed my Hoopla! score, but I don't care!

Yeah, Bevo, my hoopla! is not looking good but I don't care either. In the last minute scramble to get my points to work out, I took Stacy Stephens off my team - dumb, dumb, dumb. The game sounded ugly but I rather expected that. (1) Every Texas/Nebraska wbb game I've seen or heard has been ugly. (2) This was the first real road game for the Texas freshmen. I was impressed that Texas was able to get to the free throw line while keeping Nebraska off the line. Another bright spot, Tai seems to be coming back a little. While looking like she is moving well, she has been so off on offense. I do know that she still has to ice her knee after every practice and game.

Sounded like the defense had a stopper for Robinette. Kala and Alisha were cold fish. Heather and Tracy were helpers down the stretch but Stacy was dominating on the boards and chipped enough in to give UT the victory. CU better not overlook Texas.
