Thinking ahead to Wed and Tech's game against Kansas (trying hard not to overlook Kansas in my interest in the TTU OU game on 1/5)...

I see that KU is 4-8, looks like they played hard against Oregon. Scott and Hilgencamp are leading the team stats with Geoffroy and Spencer doing their part on the boards.

I have to admit I haven't had time to pay much attention to much of Big 12 basketball thus far.

Who has seen KU play this year? Comments?

I haven't seen them play, but of all the Big 12 teams, they seemed to have taken the greatest loss of last year without replacing........

I believe they've lost some games they really shouldn't have and may even battle Texas A & M for the bottom rung of the Big XII.
Looking at www.collegerpi.com, (http://www.collegerpi.com,) they've had 3 questionable losses and no "good wins".

I've had the honor... if you want to call it that... of watching the Lady Hawks play this year. I have to admit, it's rough at times to be a fan. they definitely lost alot this past season- johnson, reves, and jackson all gone hurt us substantially. But, you never know what'll happen in coming seasons... Reves, a star for the past couple of years was actually a soph. walk-on when she began playing- by the time she finished, she had 1000++ points, a starting position, and (obviously) a scholarship.

On another note... I talked to a *well-known* wbb sports reporter and friend in the area about the possibility of Washington retiring in the very near future- she said it was unlikely because, as one of his last acts as KU Ath. Dir., Bob F. signed her to a 3 year contract over the summer... we'll see what happens.

Go Jayhawks! (btw, sorry about all the abbreviations- trying to head to bed soon b/c of my zero hour in school that starts back up tomorrow... ick!!!)
