Womenscollegehoops.com didn't think much of the CU Buffs chances this year:

In their "Early Bird Top 50", posted April 16, they did not even have CU in the top 50. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/mad.gif

In their "Pre-Season Top 50", posted Oct 27, they have CU at 45 with the following quote:
" No, we have not "wimped out" from our April rankings where CU did not appear. We still feel CU will be down significantly from last year. However, given Boulder has since been chosen as a host site for the NCAA's, we see extra motivation for the Buffs. It will be close, but CU will make the NCAA's and maybe last a round or two."

In their latest top 50, for games thru Dec 22, they have CU at number 18, with the following to say:
"Buffs look very good so the Big 12 better beware" !!!

I'm glad they have caught on http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Interesting they make no reference to how much they dissed CU earlier!

GO BUFFS! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/cu.gif

WCH.com is my least favorite site for womens basketball. They are very biased IMO.

Since anything i'd have to say about that site, a well as the folks who run it would not be anywhere near as kind...I'll just add, Ditto!

GO BUFFS!

I agree with the comments made in regards to the WCH site; I really liked it when it first came out, but last year I got to where I rarely visited it, and ditto for this year.

Merry Christmas! And don't worry Buffsfan & Swok. I won't tell Rush you are both "ditto heads". http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

While I agree with the idea that Joe is not always on track in his opinions I find the site usefull for reference material on ocassion. At least he is covering WCBB and I've got to give him some props for that. Now about his rankings?

Now about his rankings?

I really liked his site the first year, but it seems last year, when they started announcing "sponsorships" was when it seemed to change. He does pick up on some women's bb articles that I would otherwise miss.....like the missing bb player.

Zo, is it because they keep dawging KMR for her schedule? You're a Baylor fan, right?

Anyone noticed the article on officiating on WCH?? Is it just me or does anyone else think they shouldnt be worrying about fans in the stands. If they would worry about consistancy, and letting the official thats in the right place make the call, then maybe they wouldnt catch as much trouble.

I wish I could ask the author of the article a question or two.

Press, I suppose alot of it has to do with the bashing they give Baylor. However, they seemed to favor certain teams and I would rather read an unbiased opinion.

DBLTFarmer, you're right, the officiating article was strange.
