Cowgirls lost again to ORU, this time in Playa Del Carmen.
I think this loss was by 5. At least that's an improvement over the blowout they had earlier this year.

Yeah, they gave ORU a much tougher game this time around. Oklahoma State has made considerable progress in recent weeks. I was worried about this team, and Big 12 play is still likely to be a harsh reality, but at least they are becoming steadily more competitive.

What little I listened to--it sounded like several freshmen were getting key minutes, though I think that may have been due to foul problems.
Lori Allen (fr) made the All-tourney team. I think she's from NOrman.
Erin Higgin's HS teammate Mehgan Craig is getting quite a few minutes, earning her first start (I think) tonight.
Another freshman, a walkon, was also in late.
So maybe Coach Goodenough is laying the foundation for later years, but it certainly looks like they are going to take some knocks this season.
Skibbe had a big game tonight, w/ 23 points I think.

After seeing the game story, I went over to the OSU site to read Lori Allen's bio. She may have been quite a steal for OSU, a quality player who flew below the recruiting radar.

Lori Allen went to Moore high school, hmmmm....little surprised that she flew under the radar given that both Erin Higgins and Meghan Craig played for Westmoore.
So very good to see Skibbee going, she looked horrible at the Bertha Teague; though those were the opening games.
3/4 weeks ago Oral Roberts beat TULSA....I was a little surprised at that, don't recall where the game was.
I watched a bit of the Norman HS/Westmoore HS game last Friday,
Norman High is very, very young.....and they have a couple of freshmen that are very skilled for their age...I'll have to write down their names. Also found out that Westmoore with Higgins and Craig ran a system almost identical to OU; and one of the reason's Higgins was having such great success.
Westmoore's a lot of fun to watch, though both Westmoore and Norman HS have brand new coaches. Also saw one of KSU's incomings next year, pretty good post player, strong around the basket.

I saw that Lori Allen missed most of her Sr year because of an ACL tear early in the season. That could be why she wasn't heavily recruited.
