This stuff really blows me away. It is just another indicator of Coach Coale’s impact on women’s basketball at OU.

In checking out the roster bios of the current Sooner team, I decided just to skip the athletic-only accomplishments, and focus on the other things. I've always been amazed at how many players on the OU team that were majoring in zoology or were pre-med. Ditto that for those entering the legal field. I know Desiree Taylor had majored in engineering and then I heard that she was planning on law school.
Though this year's media guide puts her teaching elementary school in Texas? Jamie Talbert is also planning on medical school, and is still finishing her degree at OU this year before applying for med school next year, I think.
Jennifer Cunningham was another that was a zoology major; haven't heard what she's doing this year. I saw her at the baseline bash with Stacey Dales, though. Stacey Dales majored in Communications and is working as the color commentary for the Sooner Sports Network Women's BB game.

It's really neat to hear Stacey given that she has just come out of Sherri's system and is able to give us insight into that.

There was a discussion on the ESPN board last week about Sherri recruiting the "right" way.....I saw Sherri on a feature show about Oklahomans and she said the same thing, she want's to recruit the "right" kids, and her definition of that meant EDUCATION first. She went on to say that OU may not go after a BS #1 player, if they don't have their education as their #1 priority and if they don't fit into the scheme of team chemistry.
