Colorado won the Oakland Tribune Classic this afternoon defeating Cal-Berkeley 66-47. Sabrina Scott was named MVP of the tournament, and Tera Bjorklund was named to the All Tournament Team.

It was a breakout weekend for point guard Syreeta Stafford. She really took over the point guard position with her performance. Coach Barry was literally gushing about Sy's efforts in her post-game interview today.

BIG BIG BIG game on Thursday night as CU will host interstate rival CSU, who has defeated the Buffs the last three years straight. It is "Cram Coors Night," so hopefully we will have a full house.

It will be great for the Buffs team if Sy Stafford has really up'ed the level of her play as much as it sounds like she has. Her play was not very good at the Wyoming game last week. I understand that she was playing in front of a lot of friends and family in California. Sometimes that can put added pressure on the player. Maybe it actually helped Syretta!
