The game was not real well played with a few defensive lapses and 23 turnovers. On the other hand a great deal went right. Laurie Koehn led all scorers with 25 including 7-13 from threeland. Nicole Ohlde had 16 and Wecker & Mahoney each scored 14. Last year MTS played us to a razor thin 54-53 so I think we should be happy with this win in spite of its flaws.
Coach Patterson did not bring the club back out of the locker room after half time until the game was ready to start. I expect there was a bit of "chewing" going on.
Koehn's 7 threes match a career high and Kendra Wecker's NINE assists are a career high for her. Ohlde got two more blocks to add to her K-State leading career total.
Weber State beat UW Milwaukee in the first game so we will face them in the champ game at 4:30 Saturday.
Attendance was 6,489. All in all not bad for a Friday game that was moved up from 7 to 5pm to avoid conflict with the NCAA Volleyball tourney at K-State's Ahern Fieldhouse.
