A couple of bits of information gleaned from reading news reports and box scores.
Contributions from Freshmen
A&M is getting good contributions from freshmen guards Tasha Summerville and Rhianna Reed. Summerville is shooting .480% and averaging 9 points and 2.3 rebounds off the bench. Rhianna Reed appears to contributing as a back-up point guard. No sign yet of any significant help in the post from the newcomers.
Injuries/Illness
Senior forward KIM MOORE missed 2 games due to illness. She had a career high 14 rebounds and 9 points in the game against Prairie View.
Per the news report in the Battalion, LYNN CLASSEN went down in the second half of the Grand Prairie game after getting hit in the face. Peggy Gillom said that she hoped Classen did not have a concussion as Classen has already had 2 concussions this year!
