Well, I think it was a most beautiful first half with Connecticut leading at halftime 44-42 and chaquita Maria with 19 points.

oh, you want to know about the second half? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/frown.gif

The Sooners used their tanks in the first half and got beat 73-60; could not hit the side of the barn with a head start.

The team that played in Hawaii is vastly better than the team that played Tennessee. Yes, the week finally caught up with us, and yes, we still make some mistakes out of inexperience, but you can see it coming together.

So nationally, we should be ranked lower than 5th, higher than 12th. Think it will happen?

nope, they will probably move up into the 17/18 range....a team never moves up or down more than 5 spots...or rather, it's odd if they do. I would be surprised if we come out on top of North Carolina.....that's the way the poll ball bounces http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif But then again, there were some interesting games throughout this week.

Maria Villarroel ended up with 27 points in defeat, and is averaging 18 points per game in her first seven outings as a Sooner. The native Venezuelan turns 24 today. You can access her Oklahoma site bio by clicking on her name from my page:

24 ehh? Is she the oldest player in the Big 12...or even the nation? Would think that most players graduate by the age of 22...guess being from Venezuela would have something to do with that...
