Kendra Wecker -- future Olympian?

Kendra Wecker was just ranked by Track and Field News (the leading publication in the sport) as the #1 javelin thrower on the 2001 High School All-America Team -- i.e., the top high school javelin thrower in the country last season. She is a very legitimate prospect to make the 2004 Olympic Team. It's not out of the question that preparing for that team could impact her role on the KSU basketball team down the line. Exactly how, I don't know.

It's in the genes. Kendra's Mom and Dad are also great athletes. Her Mom was an Olympian (maybe Dad to) and one of the few basketball records Kendra does not have at Marysville High is still held by her Mom.
