The UIU WBB team only had eight players available most of the season. A ninth player who had been injured recently started playing as well, which is fortunate because the team's top four scorers were just suspended for a violation of team rules.
With only five players available, UIU played Wayne State Saturday. One of the five got hurt six minutes in and played very little the rest of the game. One of the other players fouled out midway through the second half, so they ended the game with three players. They lost 89-28.
The status of the suspensions will be revisited Wednesday (the length of the suspensions has not yet been set).
