Oklahoma defeats North Carolina!

Wahoo! Oklahoma hangs on to defeat #11 North Carolina 66-63! Great win for the Sooners. Now they can relax a little more and come in guns-a-blazing against Connecticut in the championship game of the Rainbow Wahine Classic tomorrow. Really don't have anything to lose now. Way to go OU!

what a great game........Dionnah Jackson has certainly stepped up into the role of the leader of the team, I think she finished with 21 points.....

So proud of these girls, so many young players, new players in OU's system and they step up.

Who could know that 2 frontcourt players could be injured on Tuesday, 2 frontcourt players could foul out of this game AND they still beat the #11 team in the country.....

Amazing job by OU. A young team without much depth left beats a team considered to be one of the deepest and most athletic in the ACC. Connecticut beat Hawaii by only 7 points.* There is no reason for OU to go into today's game with anything but great confidence.

*I picked up an incorrect score somewhere. Final score was UConn over Hawaii 68-54. Sooners still have every reason to think they can win.

O.K. I HAD IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME? 60-53? DOESN'T REALLY MATTER, I GUESS. One thing looks certain - Beard may be Duke's MVP but without Taurasi, Connecticut would be toast.
