Just getting a thread started for this one. Big game for ISU. Hoping for a W, but will be ecstatic if we can at least keep it close.

ISU has gone 3 crazy, but Baylor has answered every ISU charge. That's why they are very deserving of that #5 ranking.

68-57 Baylor. ISU made a game of it in the second half, but dug too big a hole if the first half. Not many times are you going to come back from being 17 down at half on the road in this conference.

Heather had 3 3's tonight giving her 242 for her career. She is now 46 away from breaking Megan Taylor's record and passed Megan Ronhovde for 3rd place of the all time list tonight.

Well, now I can exhale. But that's sure not easy during the game when you're going up against ISU!

Good win, Lady Bears! Wilson had a double double with 18 points and 10 boards; Morrow had 15 points (3 from BTA) and Allison had 13 points and 5 boards. I liked the gritty determination that you showed in the second half.

As for ISU, it was BOMBS AWAY! in the second half, and I wasn't so sure that we were going to be able to hang on. They had their own punch of gritty determination! Twelve from BTA for the game, with Bolte dropping in one about every 10 seconds -- or so it seemed. She had a very nice game, as did Ezell, Lacey and Nisleit.

Both teams gave the fans an excellent game!

Dang it. Had to miss my first home game of the year tonight cause of unsuspected work issues. I did manage to get to a radio with about 3 minutes left in the game. I tuned in during a commercial, which i hate, cause once they get back to the game, they dont usually give the score, and you have to kinda guess what it is based on the stats and other things that get mentioned before play starts up again.

In this case, the first thing that Lori mentions is that ISU is 8-11 on 3's in the second half. Then they mention the score - 54-43, I believe - but no immediate indication of who's leading. Based on the shooting % stat I just heard, I gotta assume ISU is leading.

Seconds later, I figure out that BU has the lead, but has had it shrunk from 21 to 11 in just a few minutes. The short-lived thrill of realizing we still had the lead was immediately replaced with two words: Oklahoma-Cal. I had visions of a 40 point swing before the final score, and to make it worse, I had to leave the radio, having nothing but that thought for the next 30 minutes or so until I could check the final. I'm sure I had more stress than if I had actually made it to the game.

Sounds like a great effort by the Bears to build a nice lead, then withstand the usual furious Cyclone barrage. I definitely regret missing a chance to see ISU play.

ISU shot 18% in the first half and that really put them in a hole. Baylor played some tough defense and ISU hit several 3's in the second half after critical lapses on failed switching assignments. I just hope Baylor will maintain the perimeter defense that they had tonight throughout the remaining games. As always, with ISU, I'm nervous until the buzzer sounds.
