Purdue has put the Longhorns in a hole in the first half. Wow!
The Purdue freshman, Rayburn, is very impressive thus far. I find it amazing that the points in the paint are 22-0. I would have never thought Texas would go without any points in the paint during an entire half. Purdue has been really clicking and I don't see Texas coming back if Purdue maintains their focus.
I'm sure coach G will light them up at half.
Why does Duke get to play in 3 of the Big Monday ESPN games!

The light seems to come and go for Texas - they've got in within 11 now.

The light never lit for Texas - wow the post players were pretty weak on both end of the court. If Texas plays like this in Lubbock and Tech plays the way they did against UCLA - we can beat these 'Horns (a month ago, I'd never dreamed I would say that).

The 'Horns tonight sure were a different team than I saw against Tennessee and how I think they've been playing earlier in the year, save for SDSt. I need to go back and look at the box score but seemed that Carla was rushing things a bit tonight.
I noticed that Erika was in the opening line-up tonight and wondered how long she has been. Was thinking that Kat Nash had started most of the games at that position.
Somehow I just have a feeling that Coach G will have everything fine tuned and running at full cylinders very smoothly come Saturday.

Did anyone else see Earnesia Williams push the Purdue player to the floor? It happened as both players chased the ball out of bounds in the second half. I wondered why the Purdue fans were booing the play. Then it was replayed and I understood why they were upset.
And then near the end of the game, Williams swung her arm/elbow at the face of Purdue's Danielle Campbell after play had been stopped. If you didn't see it the first time it happened, it was replayed at least twice as the refs were looking at something on the monitors.

I was watching the game and also saw this incident. There was really no need for it as the second incident occured within the final minute of the game when UT was fouling and the game was already over. She was clearly upset and threw the elbow up towards Purdue's players face.

After getting outscored in the paint 22-0 in the first half, it was pretty obvious that the Longhorn strategy in the second was to mug any Purdue player that came near the basket.
