Tech defeated Valparaiso 81-46...

Plenette had an off-night offensively but did a lot of little things in this game to help the team. she only played 4 minutes in the first half after picking up two quick fouls and never looked like she got in sync after that. Everyone else picked up the slack tho...

Erin is averaging 10 assists after 3 games so far...gotta love it! I also love the fact that no one on the team is averaging more than 28 minutes per game.

Jia was the leading scorer with 18 points, natalie had 11 and Casey and Cisti each had 10. Cisti also grabbed 9 rebounds and had 5 blocks. Jia and Casey had 3 steals each, while Erin and Plenette added 2 apiece.

Valparaiso had 5 or 6 time clock violations during the game...great LR defense tonight...everyone contributed offensively and defensively. I love the play of the freshmen, especially LaToya...she will be a great backup by conference play starts, and Erin will most likely be the best point guard in the nation http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif much less the FOY -- LaToya and Jametra are really pushing Cisti, Plenette and Jolee for playing time! I think this is making all of them better.

Tech looks very deep and talented, no doubt. I am particularly impressed with Tech's post depth. LaToya Davis visited Texas as well as Tech, and Texas could really have used Davis this year.

Great post doubleT. I am really excited about how Coach Sharp has been using her players. We already have a solid line up and one of/ if not THE deepest team in the nation. With a few more games before conference I think it is safe to assume that the LRs will be in the thick of the Big 12 race until the end. KSU looks great too and I expect Texas to rebound from the tough BYU loss. Should be a great year!!
