dem said last week that if Tenn faltered and Kansas State continued to play well we might even rise to 2cd (the highest ranking K-State has had).
I think dem figures its all down hill for us now. Oh well, as I said before, I'll enjoy it for now. In all honesty I'm not at all sure we are the second best team in the country, but on the other hand I'd give K-State a good chance against anyone else on the board. We will lose some games along the way I am sure, and when we do we will drop like a stone. The players are tough however, and will climb right back into it.
Go big 12!!!

I didn't see yesterday's game, but they sound tough. How does everyone feel they will fare with very athletic teams? I know last year against ODU, not overlooking their youth and inexperience, they struggled with the quickness, especially on the guards. I just don't see how they can play 39 min, and have any legs left for post season.
Just for giggles I might add that Jerry Palm's RPI site has K-State alone as #1.
Methinks dem might have a bit of a point.

KSU is athletic, of course. I still think KSU could be vulnerable to a team with quick, strong, guards. The one player that KSU could not contain yesterday was Tanisha Wright, a strong penetrating guard. Wright just took the ball in and scored, went to the line, or both. In the Big 12, I think Tech will match up quite well with KSU if the Tech frontcourt holds its own. Certainly in the Big 12, KSU should face more competition for rebounds than they did yesterday.
