Angie Welle, my favorite former Big 12 player, turns 23 today. After distinguishing herself academically and athletically for four seasons at Iowa State, Angie was drafted by the Rockers (my former hometown team) last spring. I got to see her take the court when Cleveland visited Indiana for an exhibition game before Angie was waived in May. Here's hoping that her dream of a WNBA career will be fulfilled next year.
